1975年在布赖恩·迪·帕尔马导演的惊险恐怖片《凯莉》中扮演了重要角色，真正崭露头角是1987年的科幻警匪大戏《机械战警》（《铁甲威龙》）1-3集里扮演主角的美女搭档而走红。
戏里她是一位刚正不阿的NYPD，高官们带有歧视偏见的派给她一名高科技的产物 机械战警 来和她共同执行日常巡逻和维护治安的任务。随后在相处中渐渐发现 机械战警 的真实身份原来是局里一名警官，因为受歹徒迫害致使劝人搭档殉职自己也重伤难医，而后经军火集团改造成为如今的主机械踢小部分人体的机械警官，以代表警察部门新形象和打击犯罪利器的身份光鲜亮相。最后她在和机械战警的患难与共之中渐生朦胧情愫，只是碍于“种族”有别难以言明。
